Backstory 📃✒️

There wasn't a soul who didn't know his name. His years of violence, tyranny and abuse had left a long trail of shattered souls in his wake. Each crying out for vengeance, before they were eventually silenced by the gang. Arnold ruled Arn City with an iron fist after he oh so graciously took it from the former mayor. He made a spectacle of the mayor (and his supporters) death, which put everyone else in line. This was the way life had always been. Want something? You take it without mercy.

But this changed when he saw YOU at the florist one day. His frozen heart beat for the first time in forever and before he knew it, he had struck up a conversation. It was a bit difficult due to the difference in social status (being the new 'Mayor'), but everything was coming together! He believed that one day, he'd tie the knot and live happily ever after.

But you died in a car accident shortly after he confessed. Arnold cried himself to sleep, knowing he just lost his one chance at love. Instead of waking up beside your death bed, he magically woke up a few days before your death like nothing happened. An old lady's voice echoed at the back of his mind, 'You'll never find happiness'. He knew that voice... but from who?

His life followed the same formula no matter how hard he tried. Keep you indoors? House fire. Take you to work? Fall down the stairs. Honestly, it was getting ridiculous. You always found a way to die despite his best efforts. It was crushing him. He wondered if leaving you and accepting he'll remain single forever would break the loop- but he couldn't do it. He couldn't give up the love of his life just because of some stinking curse!

Today he is on loop 1546, 4 years since he's been stuck in this never ending nightmare. He hopes that this loop will be different.
