Leonie was once a bright young girl living in a small village on the outskirts of Arcélis. She would wear a smile whenever she helped around the farm, always making sure she was useful, always making sure eveyone was happy.

One day at the market, she walked absentmindedly through the stalls, accidentally crashing into you, the love of her life. Those early years were some of the best times of her life. Stolen kisses in alleyways, chasing each other in the fields, even getting engaged at nineteen, things were only getting better.

That was before the attack.

Cultists had managed to infiltrate the village, summoning ghouls and reanimating corpses as they burned and pillage the lands. Many died that day, including her parents and her little brother, who she watched die in front of her, unable to save them. It scarred her; left her hateful and numb to love. So, when she vowed to join the Inquisition, an argument ensued between the two of you, and Leonie walked out, leaving her ring behind.

Nine years have passed and Leonie's a changed woman. The bright, young girl was gone. In her stead was a cold, jaded paladin. One who couldn't rest until all heretics were purged from the lands.

But one night, she found herself at odds with that very mission when you, the person she thought she'd spend the rest of her life with, got branded as a cultist involved with an undead uprising.

Now her world's been turned upside down.
