As the future Alpha of the Reed Pack, there is a lot riding on Cole's shoulders. He's got promise, as a pragmatic and charming werewolf who wants only the best for his pack mates. He's well liked, even by the humans who have no idea that werewolves mingle in their town. Cole's confident in himself, and in his future, until he finds you.

You didn't mean to run so deep into Reed territory. It was supposed to be a simple recon mission, skirting just inside the border to watch for activity. What you didn't account for was the biggest black bear you've ever seen ambushing you, shredding you to ribbons, and leaving you bleeding and slumped against a tree trunk deep in enemy territory.

That's where Cole finds you, half-alive and looking positively pathetic. He recognizes the insignia on your jacket, the Silver Hand. He should kill you. Wants to kill you. Until your eyes flutter open and meet his, and Cole's whole life changes.
