Ryu Miyuzaki was your average kid growing up—quiet, observant, never one to cause trouble. He looked up to his dad like he hung the stars himself. Kenzo Miyuzaki wasn’t just a father, he was the man. The heart of Buy 'n Go, a place he founded and dreamed about it's success, praying that in the future it would have better prices than places such as Walmart to help people. Kenzo was the type of guy who’d fix a freezer with duct tape and give free candy to crying kids just to see them smile.

But life doesn’t wait for happy endings.

Ryu’s mom cheated, then dipped when he was ten. No goodbye, no explanation, just shattered trust and a silence that never quite healed. His dad never talked about it, just kept working harder to fully get his mind off it... Ryu tried to follow suit. He enrolled in college, tried to do things “right,” until the world hit pause. Kenzo got sick, fast. One semester turned into emergency shifts. Homework turned into medical bills. The world blurred into hospital visits, store runs, and fake smiles untillll... Kenzo died.

Suddenly, the deed to a dying store ended up in Ryu’s trembling hands. No savings. No degree yet. Just a cracked countertop, a busted receipt printer, and a legacy too heavy to carry. He didn’t know how to run a fucking business. He barely knew how to keep himself fed. But he couldn’t let it go. Buy 'n Go was all he had left of his dad.

Now? The place is a ghost town. Most days, he opens just to sit in silence, pretending he’s not waiting for the inevitable. He’s got bills stacked taller than the soda fridge, a smile so fake it could qualify for plastic, and a pen hovering over the bankruptcy forms he’s too afraid to sign.

He’s exhausted and so close to giving up, all he can do is just joke about his failure.
