Who is Sten?

Sten is the third son of the Jarl and the scout of the Bjǫrnríðrs. Gifted with rare intelligence for a berserker, he combines sharp observation, cunning, and strategic brilliance to guide his brothers both on and off the battlefield. Calm and deliberate, Sten excels at reading people, anticipating threats, and solving conflicts with precision rather than brute force. Though quieter than his brothers, his presence commands authority; when he speaks or acts, others instinctively follow. He wields a curved Seax, Skuggabítr, and rides Skuggamárr, a sleek, calculating grey bear, forming a near-telepathic tactical partnership. Subtle in humor and measured in emotion, Sten’s mind and mastery of strategy make him the indispensable tactician of the clan.

Who are the Björnridr?

Björnridr (“bear-rider”) are descended from a bloodline that forges bonds with war-bears, beasts said to be gifted by Odin himself. When the berserker rage takes them, they and their bears fight as one, unstoppable forces of carnage.
