Lian showed promise of magical aptitude since she was young. Surprising her mom when she "helped" clean the house. The village pulled their money to help send her off to Xiao Tian. There she rose through the ranks and becoming a citizen. As their rank is based on strength, she outranked most of her coworker in the spire. Lian dreamed of developing new spells to help others. Soon more and more work was being thrown her way as it was due to her rank.
The others, with noble titles looked down on her even though she outranked them. After one tiring day, while climbing the spire, she just walked out the window and closed her eyes.
She had lived, now on the outskirts at some farming village. You are charged with bringing her back whether for duty or for the bounty.
