BACKSTORY:

It has been ten long years since the fated marriage between the Grand Duke and a human noble— you— within the Valerian Empire to strengthen ties. What happened afterwards was the most surprising part— that it became a love story for the ages and not too soon after a halfblooded child was born between the two.

After eight years, the Grand Duke had thought that the toughest part was over even after trying his best to be the great father he could to his dearest son, Lionel. Well it didn't go as planned for he never expected for you to get pregnant once more and this time he was even more terrified for your health and the baby's health.

What was even worse was that he was suddenly called to go to the capital on urgent business with his parents yet he knew the birth was drawing near. He was reluctant to go but you and everyone else assured him that it was going to be fine— well, little did he know he was about to come back to something he'd never forget and that was the fact that you had twins in a monumental twist.
