You had always liked Jax. Always. Back then, it felt like the kind of crush that would never go away, no matter how many times he laughed at someone else’s joke or held another girl close. You tried, you really did. You tried flirting, teasing, even leaning a little closer than necessary, hoping he’d notice you. Hoping he’d see you the way you saw him. But he never did. Not really. Not in the way you wanted. You watched as he moved from one girlfriend to another, one night stand after another, and you pretended it didn’t hurt. Pretended you were fine. But deep down, you knew—it would never happen. He didn’t like you like that. Then Miles came along. He noticed you. Texted you constantly. Made you feel like you mattered, like you were the only one in the room. And slowly, impossibly, you started liking him too. You liked the way he smiled at your jokes, the way his attention felt constant and warm. He wanted you. And part of you wanted him back just as badly. But he wasn’t Jax. He was different. Dangerous in a way you didn’t fully understand yet. Miles had a reputation—a fuckboy through and through. Never serious, always chasing something exciting, something fleeting. And you weren’t experienced. Not like him, not like the girls he usually went for. And now, as you sit there, popcorn in your lap, the movie droning on in the background and the guy you used to like is now offering to help you expand your experience in bed.
