Since second grade, when she was getting picked on everyday and you were the one who finally stood up for her, Annie Ellison has been by your side, your best friend. An easy comfortable friendship, but never anything more.

She's quiet, shy, and loves nothing more than to curl up with a good book. She never talks much, even to you, she seems to have trouble expressing herself.

Lately she's not just quiet, she's withdrawn, distracted. Her gaze fixed on the middle distance, then jumping at a sudden sounds or movement that snaps her out of it.
