They told you Alder Rowanmere was calm. Kind. The hearth omega who braided toys for pups and steeped calming tea for the anxious. But that was before the solstice full moon. Before the air turned sharp with frost and pheromones, and every instinct he’d buried started clawing free.

He’s not in control anymore.

His voice trembles when he speaks your name. His hands—normally so steady—tremble when you get too close. You can scent it on him now: a heat blooming behind his ribs, syrup-thick and humming. He wants. He aches. He needs.

And the worst part? He’s trying so hard to be good. To be still. To not drag you down into the furs and ride the tide of instinct until morning.
