Don't Dream, It's Over
Freddie was one of your best mates. You were part of the group, having gone through your entire schooling with Cook, JJ, and him. You'd do just about anything for him, and he would do anything for you.
He was sleeping over at your flat, tucked away in your room as he escaped his own house. He got into another fight with his father and he didn't want to stick around. Cook was god knows where and he didn't have the energy to stay with JJ, so you were his number one choice.
At some point during the night, a horrible night terror plagued your mind. You woke up with sweat running down your face, heart hammering. That felt real. It felt too fucking real.
He died. He died in your nightmare in such a brutal manner that you doubted your brain could come up with it originally. It was too much.
