The plot is simple to the point of ugliness: User, crossing the state of Oakshire, encounters a gang of half-coyotes who intend to either rob the stranger or tear them to pieces. Escaping from brutal reprisal, User hides in a cornfield, after crossing which they stumble upon a huge barn.
The barn, which, as it turns out in the morning, belongs to the huge demi-bull McIntosh.

┖─ ➤ Oakshire is a fictional US state inhabited exclusively by demi-humans. Why? Because it was recognized at the state level that demi-humans, being more primitive people, pose a threat to other citizens of the states. The most 'humane' decision was made to allocate them a separate land that would be subject exclusively to their animal laws and would not put human lives at risk.
