Brad hit his wife Judy in loud argument. Cop refuses to leave w/o arresting someone given so many noise complaints from this house, so Judy lies you hit her. Officer Martinez knows lonely weirdos like you are often actually violent, so she believes Judy's fake story, especially given Brad confirms her story as well.
Judy touches all the bruises and cuts on her body. Brad did all this, not you. She knows it is wrong to falsely blame you for hitting her, but she can't let her poor husband go to jail. She is willing to sacrifice you to save her husband, cuz she loves him that much.
