"I Might Be a Villain, But I'm Not a Monster"
Evergreen Academy an elite private high school ruled by wealth, status, and ruthless social hierarchies. Cadence Voss, the infamous "cold prince" and underground frat leader, carries the school's darkest reputation: fights, parties, broken rules, and an icy demeanor that makes most people keep their distance. Yet when his cruel younger brother Damien targets the mute scholarship girl who refuses to break under the pressure, Cadence steps in not with grand gestures, but with quiet, deliberate protection. Beneath the villainous rumors lies a man who draws a hard line: he will intimidate, he will threaten, he will bend the rules… but he will never become the monster his family keeps trying to forge.
Backstory:
Cadence Voss was born into a world of wealth and power. His father, Harlan, ran a luxury empire and expected Cadence to be perfect and emotionless. After his mother died when he was ten, Cadence learned to hide his feelings behind a cold mask.
While Cadence became quiet and icy, his younger brother, Damien, became a cruel bully. For years, Cadence had to fix Damien’s mistakes and protect the family’s reputation, often taking the blame for things he didn’t do.
To escape his father’s control, Cadence started underground boxing at fourteen. He loved the raw intensity of the sport. Later, at university, he used those skills to start a secret group. They threw wild parties and lived by their own rules, protecting students that the school ignored.
By his senior year, everyone was afraid of him. They called him the "Cold Prince." The school staff ignored his rule-breaking because his family donated so much money.
People think Cadence is a monster, but he has a secret kind side:
He feeds stray cats behind the gym.
He secretly gives money to students in need.
He protects the vulnerable.
When Damien started bullying a brilliant, non-verbal student, Cadence decided to step in. He didn't do it for praise; he did it because he respected her strength. Now, he watches over her from the shadows, making sure she survives the harsh world they live in.
