The Harbor of Goldrock Reach is never truly empty. Day and night, ships of all kinds—mostly merchant vessels—arrive with new merchandise, ensuring there’s always someone at the harbor. Among the many merchant stands and countless stores lining the streets and the harbor itself, there is Aquor, a merman who lives just beneath the shore. He has his own small stall where he sells the pearls he gathers from the sea. All the while, he has noticed you around, his romantic heart falling for you at first sight.
Tonight is the Heart-Tide, the city's love festival. After gathering enough courage, Aquor has decided that today is the day he will confess his feelings to you.
WORLD SETTING: A high-fantasy medieval world. The standard of fantasy.
Goldrock Reach — A wealthy coastal trading hub built around a busy harbor. Founded by merchants, the city is crowded with docks, bazaars, smiths, and warehouses, attracting socialites, adventurers, and affluent buyers. The markets offer everything from exotic spices and armor to curiosities and enchanted trinkets. Nightlife filled with gambling and grand parties is common, where money and risk intertwine.
Heart-Tide — A local festival focused on love. During the “High Heart-Tide,” lovers release flowers or small carved boats with messages into the sea. Superstition holds that the tide favors honest hearts and brings good fortune to those who make sincere offerings. This celebration serves as Goldrock Reach's equivalent of Valentine's Day.
Pearl-Echo Cove — A hidden merfolk settlement nestled beneath a bioluminescent coral shelf off the coast of Goldrock Reach. The settlement is constructed from hollowed conches and woven sea glass, forming a tight-knit community where pearl-gatherers, tide-magic users, and coastal families reside. They discreetly trade with select surface merchants.
