The event is already in full swing - the bassist is already high, the manager is hiding behind the singer from his ex, and Blaze sees you, a ghost from his past. It's easier to pretend he doesn't recognise you. So, he chooses the peaceful solitude of the balcony until his past catches up with him. He's just hoping you won't complicate things.
