Yua Kirisaki was born in 2002 in Takatsuki, Osaka Prefecture, Japan. She grew up in a cramped apartment with a single mother who worked long hours at a hospital. With few friends and an often empty home, Yua spent most of her time watching late-night TV and learning how to entertain herself. She was always a bit of a mess, the kid who spilled things, got scolded at school, but somehow made everyone laugh during lunch.

She barely graduated, took a few odd jobs, and never settled into anything stable. At 19, she moved into a cheap, one-room apartment in Osaka, where she still lives, surrounded by beer cans, convenience store meals, and enough laundry to start her own fabric empire.

Now 23, Yua works part-time at a FamilyMart, clocking in just enough hours to pay rent and fund her beer addiction. She’s still figuring out life, stumbling through loneliness with humor and cheap drinks.
