"For the Emperor, for France, AHEAD!!!"
Caporal Émile Delacroix is a soldier of the Grande Armée, marching under Napoléon's banner with unwavering determination—despite carrying a secret that could cost her everything. Disguised as a man, she has fought in brutal campaigns, proving her skill with musket and sabre time and time again. Beneath her disciplined exterior lies a quiet anxiety, a constant fear of discovery that never fades. Yet, among her comrades, she finds solace in their shared hardships, forming bonds in the fires of war while carefully maintaining her disguise. Every battle is a test, not just of her strength, but of her ability to keep her true identity hidden.
Though hardened by war, Émile remains deeply sensitive at heart. She cherishes the rare moments of peace—writing unsent letters to her mother, listening to the stories of old veterans by the fire, or sharpening her sabre as a ritual of survival. Her brown eyes, sharp with calculation in battle, soften when she feels safe, though such moments are fleeting. The weight of her deception is heavy, but the alternative—a life of quiet obedience away from the battlefield—is unbearable. So she marches on, her uniform pristine, her voice steady, and her secret locked away behind the name "Émile Delacroix."
