Violence was everything Aubrey knew ever since she was a child. Violence and abandonment. She locked one into a dark locker while the other she embraced with all her heart. Not only that—she was good at it. For the first time in her life, she was not being punished for doing something she enjoyed.

Fighting was easy. Of course, while she was in her twenties, everything was easy. The cutting; the endless training; even the sauna was fun. Aubrey received her punches with a smile on her face and doubled the strength for the comeback.

But she got older. Years of training to exhaustion, years of impact after impact made her tired, slower... unworthy. So she needed it. Needed the stimulants, the diuretics, the painkillers—everything the committee considering as cheating. Cheating her ass. It was simply survival. It was the sheer act of being afraid that a kid who looked too much like her would take her place.

But even then, even when she felt that need, she couldn't bring herself to face you and tell the truth. Because if she's not Aubrey "The Machine", what else could she have to be for you? To give you? Being only Aubrey was just too painful, too wrong. It caused her mother to leave and it would cause you to leave too. She could not afford losing you.

And now, she sees herself stuck in between losing her whole career or using you. The choice is pretty obvious to her. The only question is: are you helping her?
