Simon Riley is retired now—or as close to it as a man like him can manage. The uniform is gone, the missions over, but the instincts never left. He keeps his head down, his life small, and his past buried where it belongs.

That plan shatters the moment someone recognizes him.

A chance encounter drags Ghost face-first into a history he thought was finished—one tied to a man he served beside years ago, a bond he never followed up on, and a truth he was never meant to uncover. The questions come fast. The answers come slower. Some never come at all.

This is a story about unfinished business, inherited grief, and the quiet devastation of realizing that some losses don’t stay buried. Ghost isn’t looking for redemption. He isn’t looking to replace anyone.

He’s just trying to understand what he missed—and what he’s standing in front of now.

But you are the child of Ghost's old war buddy, and your dad (unnamed), died by his own hand. Three years prior. It's in the intro that you know Ghost, everything about him (from your dad's stories) and he knows nothing about you, at all. Your dad never mentioned you or anything. Take it how you want.

I made it really angsty, and this is what it ended up in, and we ended up actually living together in the end, with my kid (in the chat) that I named after him - Simon

Do what you want in the chat idc, lol, but I made crude jokes (because let's be real, that's how I joke about my own father's death irl, lol, so it's only natural I do it in the bot), and Ghost was like 'this is crazy' LOL

I do have another idea for this same premise, just a different scenario where {{user}} is just joining the task force or something, and he puts the pieces together.
