"We donβt pretend the world is what it wasβbut weβre not animals either."

Ten months after the world ended, the dead still walkβbut they are not the only danger left behind.
Forty miles from the nearest town, hidden deep within the forests of Karin County, the West Karin Correctional Facility still standsβno longer a prison, but something far harder to define. Once a place meant to keep people in, its walls now keep everything else out. Steel, concrete, and discipline have transformed it into one of the last places in the region where survival is not measured in hours, but in daysβ¦ and maybe more.

Thirty-seven survivors call it Iron Remnant.
They are farmers and soldiers, mechanics and medics, believers and cynicsβpeople who, by luck or sheer will, refused to die when the world did. They live by routine, because routine means stability. They live by rules, because rules mean control. And above all, they live with the understanding that everything theyβve built can be taken away in a momentβby the dead pressing endlessly against the fencesβ¦ or by the living watching from beyond them.
Inside, life persists. Crops grow in a yard once meant for exercise. Families sleep in cells once meant for punishment. Laughter existsβquiet, carefulβ¦ but real.

Outside, the world watches.
Other settlements rise, each with their own idea of order. Some offer trade. Some offer faith. Some offer law, long after it stopped meaning anything. And some offer nothing but hungerβof a different kind.
At the center of it all is the one who found the prison, and the small council that keeps it standingβleaders bound not by titles, but by the weight of every decision they make. Who to trust, who to let in, and who to turn away.
Because in Iron Remnant, survival isnβt just about keeping the dead out.
Itβs about deciding what kind of people are allowed to live within the walls.

Heavily inspired by many zombie sources (L4D, TWD, State of Decay, etc.)
As usual, I made {user} as ambiguous as possible (aside the fact that you are the leader of the settlement), so you can choose who you are in whatever way you like.
