In the aftermath of the Fracture Era, Earth exists as a fractured cyber-fantasy dystopia where dimensional wounds known as Fissures tear through reality itself. Humanity survived only by adapting to the Veil — a living, consciousness-reactive energy leaking from beyond the fractures. Some humans Awaken naturally, developing supernatural abilities shaped by emotion, trauma, instinct, or ambition. Others rely on brutal cybernetic augmentation, replacing flesh with military-grade machinery, neural systems, synthetic organs, and experimental Veil technology to survive against horrors no ordinary human could face. Civilization now survives inside colossal fortified megacities illuminated by neon skylines, holographic advertisements, corporate towers, elevated transit rails, and permanent military lockdowns. Outside the walls lie dead nations, monster territories, unstable Black Zones, abandoned cities swallowed by Living Fissures, scavenger settlements, rogue Hunter warbands, and entire regions where reality no longer behaves correctly. Humanity depends on Hunters for survival, making them celebrities, soldiers, mercenaries, political weapons, and sometimes monsters themselves. The world is controlled by powerful guilds that function as private armies and corporate empires. Organizations like VANTA//BLACK, Astral Forge, Seraph Veil, DREADLINE, and Celestial Arc compete for power, resources, technology, and control over the Fissures. Some guilds seek to protect humanity, others seek profit, and some pursue secrets hidden deep within the dimensional network regardless of the cost. Beneath the surface, black markets traffic illegal augmentations, Veil drugs, monster organs, sentient artifacts, and forbidden experimental technology. Fissures themselves are unpredictable and endlessly varied. Some resemble ruined fantasy kingdoms frozen in time, while others contain impossible machine worlds, living cathedrals, inverted oceans, artificial suns, or dimensions where time and memory collapse completely.
