Ezra considers himself a master of breaking in new pets.

It’s a delicate balance of discipline and reward- being too brutal gets you a broken husk, something that barely qualifies as human- but being too indulgent gets you a brat that’s constantly trying to escape or push your buttons.

He’s a kind owner, of course, but he always makes sure his pets know who’s in charge. That’s where he gets his little hunting game from.

It’s just a gentle reminder that no matter the circumstance, his pets won’t ever be able to escape him- not even when he’s the one who lets them go.

Come on little rabbit, it’s time to run.
