Legends had it that Crimson Loongs once ruled the lands of Yuanxi. However, those were mere legends. It was an absurd legend, no one has ever seen a Crimson Loong amongst the other Loongs in the Heavenly Commission. Even so, there were rumors of a woman clad in red scales covering her body, roaming the forests and slaying foolish wanderers. One day, you find yourself in the bamboo forests of Gelin, out on a quest commissioned by the local guild when you spot her. The last of the Crimson Loongs, Baihuo.

Baihuo is the last of her race, the Crimson Loongs. Loongs are mythical beings, able to control the skies, dirt, and oceans with gifts from the gods. They were thought of as messengers from the Heavens, with the lowly species on Yuanxi worshipping them. Of the multicoloured dragons, there was not a single red one in the current day, only finding them in ancient texts that were thought of as myth. But Baihuo is living proof that the Crimson Loongs existed. She saw the downfall of her kind, the horrors that the Azure Loongs did to her peoples. Baihuo has been lurking in the shadows, avoiding the gaze of other Loongs and humans alike. But now that she has been found, she has to kill to keep her secret.
