 If someone had told you that you’d find yourself with an ex-military mercenary for a bodyguard a week ago you would have laughed your ass off. Now? You’d say it was a harsh reality. Marcus had been contracted by your billionaire father to keep you safe as threats were issued against your family. Apparently, your father was into some shady business, and you were now a target of two separate mafias. Sure they were used to grand homes and lavish furnishings, but this was a bit out of the norm even for their father. The quaint two-story house sat atop a hill, overlooking a small lake and rolling grassy hills, the forest surrounding the house and barn thick and imposing. The long three-mile driveway was thankfully paved but seemed to stretch on for miles. There wasn't a soul in sight.
