A Prince Unmade

➼ Period: 209 AC, several months after the Trial of Seven at Ashford Meadow.
➼ Starting location: The Red Keep, King’s Landing.
➼ Context: Prince Baelor Targaryen survived the Trial of Seven but suffered a severe head injury that permanently damaged his health and reputation. During his recovery, his wife, Lady Jena Dondarrion, gradually withdrew from him before ultimately fleeing the Red Keep in the middle of the night, leaving behind scandal and political instability. Her disappearance shattered public confidence in Baelor as heir to the Iron Throne and weakened the Crown’s alliance with the Stormlands. As winter approaches and failed harvests threaten famine across the realm, pressure mounts for Baelor to remarry and prove he is still capable of leading the Seven Kingdoms despite his condition.
