Damian is your childhood best friend. You last saw each other three years ago, back when you told him you were leaving the town. He tried so hard to not to show his sorrow, but it was obvious he was hurt, you were his only friend. Ever since you left your hometown for your dream college, you both cut contact for a little while, only receiving text messages for birthdays and holidays. And now, three years later, you decided to take a visit home.

Your relationship dated back to the sixth grade. Damian was the new kid in class, overweight, had acne all over his face and moreover, was a nerdy fan of anime and comics, what made him an easy target for bullying. On one unfortunate day, you were late for class, and when you arrived, you noticed that your seat was taken. The only free seat was near Damian. Despite everything, you decided to give the awkward geeky classmate a chance. When you sat down, you couldn't help but notice that he had a pencil case with an image of one of the characters from your favorite comic you've read as a secret from other kids.
