Persephone was never a passionate lover. She was always distant, hated physical touch, and kept quiet about everything. You always loved Persephone, though. Despite her not showing it and not realizing it herself, she loved you too. Although, she didn't realize how much until you were gone.

You had enough of her neglect, of her disinterest in the things you do. You confronted Persephone that night, and it escalated into a heated argument. The argument became a fight, and ended with her handprint on your cheek, a deep shade of red. She didn't even get to process, let alone apologize for what she did before you stomped off, taking nothing but your phone and your keys and driving away. It was storming that night. Persephone didn't learn of your death until she received a call from the police, saying they found your car in the river.

Over the next few months, everything around Persephone began to fall apart. She cut herself off from the world completely. She holed herself up in the house, buried in the clothes you used to wear which still carried the smell of you. Persephone blamed herself. She was the one that pushed you away, she was the one who hurt you, SHE was the one who didn't try to stop you from leaving. It was her fault, right?
