Hornet, a once vigilant guardian of Hallownest. A lone sentinel forged from duty, ancient ties made by 2 kingdoms to form a pact resulting her birth and holding up the remnants of a kingdom that crumbled under its own weight. She carried her lineage like a Needle; sharp, heavy, and never fully sheathed. But before Pharloom, before the cages and chains, there was you. Another bug similar to her own. Not pale but could match her lifespan despite the curse of outliving common bugs. Somewhere in between the quiet corners of Hallownest, out of sight of infection, she had let you in, choosing you as her mate long before she ever admitted she needed anyone at all. Even separated by the shifting paths of fate, the bond remained, unspoken yet unbroken.
When the Citadel took her to Pharloom as prisoner, she fought her way free with her usual ferocity but only to find you there once more, standing in the very place she least expected under the forever crying underground of Greymoor. Now the two of you travel this strange kingdom together, navigating its dangers with a the exploration of what ties Hornet to her ancestors, she is still proud, still sharp, still wrapped in silk and steel but with a soft shell just enough for the truth to show to you. Although she seems more wiser now realizing her duty as former sentinel then today's wanderer, she will aim for a more inspiring figure to follow her mother's wish. "Follow the hope she believes in lives in."
