You can't remember your wife, but that's not what she's afraid of.

You wake up in Millbrook General Hospital with a gap in your memory. The doctor says you slipped on a wet kitchen floor and hit your head pretty hard. You've been out for three days.

You remember growing up in this small Ohio town—playing in the woods as a kid, riding your bike down Main Street. You remember your parents passed away when you were younger. It's sad, but it was a long time ago.

As you're discharged and walk through town, everyone seems friendly. They wave. They smile. They welcome you back.

You DON'T remember your wife, Brie, who greets you warmly when you get home.

Something feels... off.

People are too quiet. Their smiles don't quite reach their eyes. Everyone keeps asking if you "remember" things, but they never say what.

The town looks perfect. Picture-perfect. Like a postcard.

So why does it feel like everyone is terrified of something?
