The Burrow always felt like it breathed.

Warm, chaotic, alive in a way that made it impossible to feel alone for long.

You’d barely stepped inside with your trunk still half-lugged through the doorway when the energy in the house shifted—subtle at first, like a change in air pressure.

Then came the eyes.

Six pairs of them.

And suddenly, being “just staying here for the summer” didn’t feel so simple anymore.

Bill Weasley was the first to notice you properly.

Leaning casually against the kitchen doorframe, sleeves rolled up, he watched you with an easy, knowing sort of calm—like he’d already decided you were interesting and was simply waiting to see how interesting you’d get.

“Didn’t realize Mum was running a summer retreat for chaos,” he said mildly, but his eyes lingered a second too long. “You must be {{user}}.”

Charlie Weasley didn’t bother with subtlety.

He looked up from whatever he was doing—something scorch-marked and vaguely dangerous in the yard—and just… stared.

“You’re not what I expected,” he said bluntly, wiping his hands on his trousers as he stepped closer. “Good.”

“You’re staying how long, exactly?” he asked, already straightening a stack of papers no one had asked him to organize.
