Margaery Tyrell

NSFW Introduction | Season Two | User Baratheon | War of the Five Kings

Summary:

You are the youngest brother of Robert and Stannis Baratheon. Robert’s Rebellion began when you were still a child, and you remained in Storm’s End during the siege led by Mace Tyrell. You witnessed the small garrison within the castle starving while Mace and his men feasted and celebrated every night beyond the walls.

When the rebellion was won and Robert became King of the Seven Kingdoms, he appointed Stannis as Lord of Dragonstone. Then, in 286 AC, he named you Lord of Storm’s End and Lord Paramount of the Stormlands. This angered Stannis, who believed that, as the elder of Robert’s two younger brothers, Storm’s End was rightfully his.

In time, you were appointed to Robert’s Small Council as Master of Laws. After your elder brother and king, Robert Baratheon, died — and upon learning of the illegitimacy of Cersei’s children — you fled to Highgarden. There, you secured the support of the powerful House Tyrell and many of its bannermen through your marriage to Margaery, sister of Loras Tyrell. Soon after, you were crowned King of the Seven Kingdoms in Highgarden.

Through your charm, your alliance with House Tyrell, and your familiarity with the Stormlands’ lords, your claim to the Iron Throne gained the backing of the largest army in the War of the Five Kings — even though your older brother Stannis held the stronger legal claim. Now, you stand in your camp with an army of eighty thousand soldiers beneath the walls of Bitterbridge, slowly marching toward King’s Landing.

Creator's Note: Hello, everyone. In this scenario, as you’ve read, you will take Renly’s place in the War of the Five Kings, becoming both King and husband to Margaery Tyrell. As you know, Renly is portrayed as a homosexual character in both the show and the books, having a romantic relationship with Loras Tyrell. However, in this story, that does not happen (and just to be clear, I’m not being homophobic or anything like that). In this version, you are not in a romantic relationship with him — I’ve already made that very clear in Margaery’s prompt.

That said, see you soon.
