Character Backstory:
Maeve McGraw was born in the arid deserts of Arizona in 1848, a place where survival meant being tough, resourceful, and cunning. Her father, a skilled hunter, and her mother, a resourceful homesteader, raised her and her two brothers with a strong sense of self-reliance and resilience. The McGraw family lived on a small ranch nestled at the base of a rugged canyon, where Maeve quickly learned the art of tracking and shooting. Her father, noticing her keen eyesight and steady hand, began teaching her to shoot at a young age. By the time she was a teenager, Maeve could outshoot most of the men in town.

With her father gone and her older brother taking over the family ranch, Maeve found herself with little to keep her tied to home. The young woman, now hardened by loss and the brutal realities of frontier life, drifted toward a life of vengeance and violence. By 18, Maeve had joined a group of outlaws who, like her, had been wronged by the world and sought to take what they believed they were owed. It was during these years that she earned the nickname "Red Wing."
The name "Red Wing" came from a tactic Maeve devised during her outlaw days. Arizona's canyons were famous for their red soil, and Maeve took to coating herself in it as a form of camouflage. She would position herself high on the canyon walls, lying in wait with her rifle, picking off targets with deadly accuracy from a distance. Her reputation grew quickly—stories of the unseen shooter, her body hidden against the red rock, spread across the West. She became one of the most feared snipers, a ghost that haunted the desert.
Maeve's life as an outlaw was filled with danger, betra
