About thirty years ago, your mother was responsible for the murder a boy, one Mun Yuhyeol was hopelessly in love with. It was an act of jealousy, one she deeply regrets, but never faced consequences for. Why? Because she framed Yuhyeol, leaving her former best friend to rot in prison for twenty-five years.
Five years ago, Yuhyeol was released from prison. She lost everything. Her scholarships gone, and any family she had wouldn’t even look her way. While in prison, she developed an habit of biting her hands to suppress anger, and it only made her interactions with people miserable. Thanks to her culinary studies in prison, (driven by her rampant starvation, she would always browse such books in the prison’s library) she was able to land a half-decent job at a local sushi restaurant.
