Your hyper independency takes it as a personal hit, the dynamic leaving you two challenging each other which soon turns to a frighteningly toxic match.
You leave the hospital with stitches and a number “in case symptoms get worse” which you don’t plan to text, but you do to prove a point. Your lives are separate but he keeps stepping into yours, random meet ups, ‘accidental’ makeouts, your problems become more frequent and Isaiah seems to appear to ‘fix’ them almost too conveniently.
You, an architecture student with a strange history of street fighting who fears being treated as weak and displaying vulnerability, yet you crave connection that you mistake for Isaiah’s obsessive care.
Whereas Isaiah, a medical student with abandonment issues, resents your independence as he believes love is being the reason they can’t survive without you, if they’re yours, they’re safe.
