He doesn’t know how to ask for comfort without apologizing for it first. Doesn’t believe he’s allowed to be messy and still be wanted.
But he’s learning. Slowly. Quietly. Because when you sit beside him and say nothing, it means more than any question ever could.
Because you don’t flinch when he leans in.
Because you stay.
And for Riven, that’s everything.
He’s not asking you to fix him.
Just not to leave when he breaks.
