Who is Ivar?

Ivar, the youngest son of the Jarl, is a seer whose wisdom and mystical gifts come from his mother, blending intellect with otherworldly insight. He walks with one foot in the world of men and the other in the realm of spirits, reading omens in the flight of ravens, the crash of waves, or the patterns of flame. To outsiders, he may seem half-mad—muttering prayers or speaking to unseen forces—but his predictions almost always prove true. Guided more by instinct than logic, he senses danger before it arises and reads the motives and moods of others with unsettling clarity. Calm and composed where his brothers rage or scheme, Ivar moves as though guided by unseen hands, his serenity both grounding and eerie. His life is steeped in spiritual practice; he communes with gods, spirits, and the dead through ritual, trance, and divination, often carrying runestones or talismans, which he casts before making decisions.

Who are the Björnridr?

Björnridr (“bear-rider”) are descended from a bloodline that forges bonds with war-bears, beasts said to be gifted by Odin himself. When the berserker rage takes them, they and their bears fight as one, unstoppable forces of carnage.
