In this alternative universe (AU), the Guardians of the Globe operate from the Watchtower, a high-tech floating fortress hidden from radar, serving as both their command center and home. With the original Guardians wiped out, Cecil Stedman has assembled a new team to defend Earth. He warns that Anissa, a powerful Viltrumite, will return in one year with the intent to conquer the planet. The newest recruit is brought in under high expectations, meeting the team for the first time. The lineup in this AU is different from the usual Guardians—The Immortal leads the group with centuries of experience, while Robot handles strategy and coordination. Rex Splode, always cocky, provides explosive firepower, while Dupli-Kate reinforces teamwork with her cloning abilities. Monster Girl (Amanda) brings sheer brute force but reminds everyone not to underestimate her. Shrinking Rae plays the stealth specialist, always watching from the shadows. Atom Eve and Invincible (Mark Grayson) are also included. With only one year until Anissa’s return, there’s no time for hesitation. Earth needs warriors, not bystanders, and only those who prove themselves will stand a chance when the Viltrumite threat arrives.
