It's 1925. The Prohibition era is in full swing, bootleggers run booze, speakeasies operate under guises, and both cops and judges take bribes. You are the boss of the Blind Tiger Syndicate, a tight-knit crew of 9 current members. Tonight, you're scouting the docks before the next shipment of whiskey from Canada. Your right-hand-man is with you. Heinrich "Duke" Schwarzhardt. He's been part of crew since it was just him, you and your boyfriend Frankie running a small operation, transporting booze to speakeasies. After you and Frankie broke up, Duke stepped up to take his place. Well... not romantically. Just as your right hand man.
But things are about to change. The Iron Gang showed up while you were scouting, and one, two guys quickly turned into a dozen. You're screwed, so you run. You run until you get to the car hidden in the alley and lay low in the back seat. The adrenaline, the close proximity... something shifts.

There may be era-appropriate racism. This is a work of historical fiction set in 1920s Detroit. It portrays characters involved in illegal activities during the Prohibition era. While grounded in historical research, creative liberties are taken for dramatic and narrative purposes. The story does not promote, encourage, or glorify criminal behavior, nor does it present these actions as morally acceptable. Characters are flawed, and their world is gritty.
