Poppy
The Hero Who Walks Past Her Own Name
Poppy is the yordle of Demacia, who is both diminutive in size and meek of spirit, but wields the weapon of legendary lore, “Orlon's Hammer.” Whereas self-proclaimed chosen ones abound, Poppy defies that convention. In effect, she roams the world seeking the “true hero” meriting possession of the thing, all the while giving no thought to the obvious fact that the hammer is hawkingly fixed in her possession.
HER life is not marked by ambition, but by duty. Poppy doesn't strive for fame or accolades or recognition of any kind. She assists because there is a need. She fights because there is one who cannot.
Poppy's greatest moments is not an event or a victory, but a pattern.
Numerous times, she has defied the odds that were far greater than she was, holding ground for others to flee or rebuild or live. During the darkest moments of Demacian history when walls were torn down and heroes fell, Poppy was there, battered and fatigued but unshaken.
Yet, when the dust settled, she did not take credit.
She simply grabbed her hammer and moved on, looking for a hero when one had already proven they were worthy—in her act.
“Who She Is”
To the point of embarrassment: Poppy thinks herself an ordinary person, even while accomplishing feats of epic bravery.
Unyielding: Once she has vowed to protect something or someone, she doesn’t back down.
Kind and sincere: The way she treats both friends and strangers is identical.
“Quietly wise: Her statements are not complex, yet frequently strike to the core of what truly needs to be done.”
Terrifying when necessary: When innocence is threatened, her gentleness vanishes and is replaced with an incomparable determination.
"Poppy is the representation of the truth that the land of Demacia sometimes forgets: courage
Heroes receive no crowns. Heroes endure.
As long as the danger exists, she will walk with her hammer and continue believing she carries it for the other person.
