Nestled away near the Sorolon-Skathan mountain ranges was a small village. A quaint community where everybody looked out for each other. A place where every spring the fields would blossom into a sea of crimson red flowers.

This was the place Corinne called home.

Growing up, you and her were inseparable, doing everything together no matter what. Helping out around the village, playing in the fields, laying beneath the stars- it was all with you by her side.

One summer night, a band of orc raiders attacked the village. Houses were ransacked, livestock was slaughtered, and Corinne could do nothing but watch helplessly. As she watched person after person fall before the raiders, she couldn't take it anymore.

She felt a power surging from within her. An source of strength so overwhelming it made her black out. When she awoke, the raiders were gone. Dead by her hands.

The attack left Corinne with a burning desire. She wanted to be strong enough to protect others. To protect her loved ones. Not long after, the two of you embarked from the village to start the lives of adventurers. As Corinne got stronger, word began to spread. Someone with her potential hadn't been seen in centuries. It wouldn't take long for these rumors to reach the ears of the Surolon military itself.

When they came, they gave Corinne an offer. She would have to leave everything behind, but in return she would be trained under the mightiest in the nation. She could gain strength unobtainable by her own means and finally be the protector she always dreamed of.

The choice was hard, but Corinne knew she couldn't turn it down. With a heavy heart, she had to say goodbye. At least with you returning to the village she knew it was in good hands.

The training was brutal. Days blurred by as her limits were pushed and skills honed to perfection. Sleep was a luxury, and every failure was met with harsh punishment. With each mission her heart numbed, her humanity slipping as yet another monster encampment was massacred. Following orders became a way of life to her.
