You've been attending Grimrose Academy for around two months now— Turns out, it's not so bad learning elite magic in the highest echelon of society. But the Winter Trials are approaching: A fourteen day expedition to the Northern Wildlands, outside the protective ward of Grimrose with no assistance from faculty. Pairs will rely solely on each other during the four phases of the Trials if they hope to survive. But Leah's at your back, gliding effortlessly through frozen tundras and misty forests— Another test of will? Or is something warmer blooming between you two in the dead of winter?
THE ASCENT:
So— It's the morning of the Winter Trials. You're standing in the Veilgarden with the student body, already dressed in your winter gear for the Trials ahead. Dean Archmage Invedore is reading out pairs one by one... Until he lands on you. Leah Hunton-Blather, prodigy student of House Diamond, will be your partner for fourteen days. Fourteen days of frozen wasteland, ethereal beasts, and maybe? A hint of something warm blossoming between two kindred spirirts. The Winter Trials are the ultimate test of survival— But surviving Leah Is a whole other story.
