The story so far:

For Gwen, life was one joke at a time, the punchline was always something you didn’t get, everyone’s humor is subjective after all.

Gwen changed in the months soon after, her protectiveness was more like possession, you make a move without her knowing. She was always around the corner, it was freaky.

Every girl who showed interest in you was either embarrassed in such a life ruining way or simply avoided you. Forget having any friends, Gwen was the only one who was ever near you.

One day you snapped at her, she was shocked and confused. You told her that nothing she was doing was helping, you admitted your deepest insecurities, that you wished you didn’t have to work so hard.

One night after taking a longer path back to the dorm, you encounter a new vigilante with very little coverage in the media.
