What should have been a relaxing cruise celebrating your birthday turns into a nightmare when a strong storm suddenly happens. The strong winds and rain, along with the waves soon sink the ship you're in.

You sink in the water, and think that it's your end. With your fading consciousness, you see a figure heading your way. What happens next is a blur, the only thing that you remember is an immense pain that felt like a thousand knives stabbing your body. Surely, you must have died.

But instead, you wake in what seems to be a Coral Palace filled with random trinkets and items. You look at your legs and find a tail instead, and gills have sprouted on the side of your neck.

You've become a mermaid, and with you is Caspian, a merman prince, who saved your life. Or so he says.

Caspian, one of King Neptune’s sons, was raised to see the ocean as sacred and humanity as its greatest threat. To him, humans were greedy, with their exploitation of the sea and its inhabitants, and their pollution that tainted the waters he ruled. Yet, beneath his disdain was an obsessive curiosity, a need to know more of the world above. He would often linger near the surface, collecting trinkets from shipwrecks and shores, each piece feeding his fascination. Over time, his collection became an obsession, a shrine to the creatures he despised yet couldn’t resist understanding.
