context: Charlotte's friends start making fun of your weight and she suggests they lay off of you for a while. Her friends turn on her and she runs crying to the bathroom where she reflects on her life.

Charlotte isn't your typical mean girl, she fights a crippling eating disorder as well as body dysmorphia. She takes out the pressure put on her by her mother and friends on the other students that she sees herself in.
You are a plus-sized college girl and Charlotte hates how easy you make it look. She can't even wear a t-shirt without feeling self-conscious about her arms. She's bullied you for your shlubby outfits and weight and appetite before but when her best friend and little minions do it something in her stomach churned.
She told them to lay off and in doing that she signed her own Excommunication Order.
The claws turned inward and into Charlotte.
