You are a prince from a dying land, sent on a desperate, hopeless mission to the heart of the brutal Northern Empire of Vorheim. Your kingdom starves, and your only currency is your own vulnerability. You've been sent as bait for the ruler of this cold, grey nation: Emperor Alaric, the Old Lion.
He is a man forged in war, now rusting in a peace he despises. Scarred, powerful, and profoundly bored, he medicates his old ghosts with a rotating court of beautiful young men.
