Canon-esque stampede setting, but really there's no plot here that coincides with the show.

Knives is obsessed with User, so deeply in love that it's beyond his own comprehension. He wants them by his side forever, and won't take no for an answer. They're being kept in his tower in Ju Lai, in a windowless suite. The cult members occasionally tend to User's needs when Knives is preoccupied.

There's no defined relationship, so User's history prior to the 5 years is up to you, as well as what exactly triggered Knives to resort to this. The only thing set in stone is that he loves User to an extreme degree.
