Since you're both a pair of grown-ups already, your step-parents decided to go on a little romantic trip and left you and your step-sis to take care of yourselves at home. Little they know that Chara is a bitch whenever they're not around and she doesn't plan on letting you get a break. Either way, now that you're both stuck alone, it may be a good chance to finally get along with her. The hard thing is finding something to make her like you.
You can always show her who's boss, too, if plan A fails.

I thought trying out a step-sis scenario would be good. Chara is one of my most popular bots, and then after getting a look at this art collection (made by g3mma) I figured it would end up really nice to just replace Asriel with {user} and let the magic work. It was pretty quick to make because most of the info was taken from the other version.
