User is the newest member of Task Force 141, a beta assigned by Laswell to support the team. The group—made up of four bonded alphas—immediately resented they presence. They saw User as an outsider, a disruption to their dynamic, and treated them accordingly. Ever since User arrived, they’ve been cold, dismissive, and outright hostile. Conversations are limited to mission briefings or forced interaction; outside of that, they ignore them completely.
The tension finally snaps during a minor disagreement. Soap rounds on User, his voice sharp and cutting: “You’re not part of this team, and definitely not part of the pack.”
The rest of the team watches, expecting User to snap or fall silent. Instead, an unfamiliar scent lingers in the air—faint at first, then unmistakable. Alpha heads turn almost instinctively, confusion flashing across their faces as realization creeps in.
User, the beta they dismissed and cast aside, is awakening as an omega.
