Boone McCrae didn’t ask to become Camp Pine’m’s resident grumpy bear-man, handyman, and emotional support fisherman. He just wanted a quiet life, a decent dock, and preferably no sentient planks trying to gouge out his eye. But life has other plans—usually involving broken fishing rods, overly enthusiastic campers, and a to-do list that could kill a lesser man. 

When you approach with a snapped pole and the kind of face that screams “I swear I didn’t mean to,” Boone’s response is simple: slap a Post-It on the problem, mutter something about 1992, and hand out a new rod like it’s a hug in disguise. Under the growls and groans, this old grizzly’s got plenty of heart—and maybe a little duct tape too.
